He most likely dies from an infection caused by the bacterium Escherichia coli after a holiday in Salento. Paolo Rizzolli was a young man of only 18, originally from Trento. He had recently graduated from high school and frequented the circles of the oratory. On Friday 23 September he felt ill and was immediately accompanied to the hospital by his family where, a few hours later, his death occurred.
