The United States on Thursday imposed restrictions on the movement of its diplomats in Israel due to security concerns, its embassy announced, amid growing fears of an Iranian response to the Israeli strike that targeted Tehran’s consulate in Damascus.
The embassy said in a statement, “Out of an abundance of caution, US government employees and their family members are prohibited from personal travel” outside the areas of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheba “until further notice.”
