Cold front brings winter advance above 1,500 meters

(ANSA) – BOLZANO, 06 OCT – In South Tyrol the cold front, which in these hours is crossing the Alps, has brought the first snow on the mountains. The snowplows are in action at Passo dello Stelvio and the famous road with its 48 hairpin bends can only be covered with winter equipment. Snow is currently falling up to 1,500 meters, in the south of South Tyrol up to 1,900 meters.
