At this stage, the school canteen continues to be one of the most difficult problems to solve in primary and infant schools. Rosa Battista, school director of the second inclusive of Ivrea explains why: «The Ministry, in an operational note sent to the schools, made it clear that in school canteens the distance of 2 meters must be respected; in many Italian schools it is difficult to ensure such generous spaces, the solutions could be eating in the classroom, in the courtyard, in the corridor. Another possibility could be doing double or triple shifts at the canteen or going back to eat at home ».

“Fortunately – continues Battista – this is not the case of our complexes and even less of the complex of the San Bernardo primary school which has a welcoming canteen from an aesthetic-functional point of view and large from the point of view of spaces”.

“In our understanding – adds the manager – the plexus trustees, the anti-Covid referents and teachers of the various schools, who in this emergency situation face every new provision related to the pandemic on a daily basis, have tried to solve the problem of distancing in the lunch time with adequate and dignified solutions, respecting the pupils even if, probably, in the excitement in which we are all working, some errors occurred in the communication between the various stakeholders “,
