Spain: trucker protests, further inconvenience due to distribution

Reduced deliveries of fresh products in some areas of the country

(ANSA) – MADRID, MARCH 18 – Disruptions for the distribution of certain product categories were recorded in Spain today, the fifth day of a protest called by a part of the road haulage sector (not supported by the main unions). The Iberian media reported it. Among the problems encountered in the past few hours, there are some delays in deliveries and logistical difficulties for some factories or distribution points, writes the Vanguardia. Cadena Ser radio spoke of a “reduction in deliveries of fresh products” in supermarkets in Catalonia.

Meanwhile, more than 23,500 law enforcement officers participate in a public order operation aimed at avoiding accidents and ensuring the distribution of essential products.
