three facts first.
1. In 2019, Zuzana Čaputová did not apply for the trust of the voters for a ten-year term, but for a five-year term. She has already completed four years to their satisfaction (that’s why they want a sequel), she will also manage the fifth. She will fulfill the offer she gave.
So it cannot be a moral failure. The wish of democratically minded people that it should continue is understandable given the state of Slovakia, but it does not establish its moral obligation. More than anyone’s wish, there is always the voice of one’s inner self and inner peace after one or another decision. Not respecting this is violence.
