The suspected perpetrator who killed a teacher from Bergen has been arrested. The Bergen public prosecutor’s office announced this on Tuesday. The victim’s body was found in his home on the night of Saturday to Sunday. The teacher suffered several stab wounds.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, which raised the possibility of manslaughter on Monday, the suspected perpetrator is eighteen years old. According to the public prosecutor, the two had “met at a party” and knew each other. The suspect is said to be a former student. After the party they met again at the victim’s home. The suspect called his parents after the incident and the police were immediately informed.
The investigating judge issued an arrest warrant for intentional manslaughter. The suspect will appear in court on Friday.
According to the RTBF, psychological help has been provided for students at the Saint-Stanislas school center, where the teacher was employed.
