Husband and wife argue in the car as they cross the Punta Penna Pizzone bridge, a thoroughfare in Taranto, he beats her and they end up against the guard rail.
It happened this morning in the Apulian capital. In the impact against the guard rail, the woman suffered polytrauma and is currently hospitalized. After the crash, the woman got out of the car and moving towards the roadway asked for help from passing motorists. The husband, again, attacked her and threatened the motorists who were stopped in front of the woman’s request for help. The police then intervened and stopped the man.
The 58-year-old was arrested on charges of attempted murder and resisting a public official and transferred to prison. The woman, now in a reserved prognosis in the Taranto hospital, is not in danger of life.
