A slip or an illness could be the cause of the fatal accident
TARVISIO. A sixty-year-old fisherman, Dario Screm, was found lifeless in the night along the Slizza stream. The Alpine Rescue station of Cave del Predil was alerted Wednesday evening at 11.30 pm by the Pontebba carabinieri contacted by the man’s family for his failure to return.
The fisherman’s car was found near the bridge over the Slizza stream in Coccau. Around one in the morning, the man was also identified by two forristi of the Alpine Rescue who were patrolling the stream.
A slip or an illness could be the cause of the fatal accident. To retrieve the body, once placed on the stretcher, a system of hoists was set up with ropes to hoist it for a hundred meters up to the roadside. Rescuers from the Guardia di Finanza and the Tarvisio Fire Brigade also took part in the intervention. The intervention ended at 3.30.
