The 2nd “Jingboer” Cup Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Ice Skating Competition Beijing Regional Trial Concluded Successfully
On July 18th, as the 200-day countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympics is approaching, the second “Jingboer” Cup Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Iceball Competition with the theme of “Ice Love·Chinese Dream” will be held in Beijing. The stadium was successfully held and attracted nearly 200 participants from 27 teams from all districts in Beijing.
The history of ice ball can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty. It was a winter sport loved by Imperial Palace Rigge, and later evolved into an old Beijing folk sport. In recent years, with the strong support of the Sports Lottery Public Welfare Fund, the traditional folk sports on ice, represented by ice ball, have developed vigorously relying on the profound historical and cultural resources of Beijing. With the support and promotion of the Beijing Social Sports Management Center, ice Kickball already has a solid mass foundation. This competition is supported by Beijing Olympic City Development Promotion Center, Beijing Social Sports Management Center, Beijing Sports Foundation, Beijing Xicheng District Sports Bureau, and Xicheng District Ice Ball Association. The competition is divided into two groups, the open group and the street group. The project setting continues the first men’s and women’s mixed team competition.
Four 10m×10m simulated ice boards were laid on the game site to simulate the standard ice rink environment of ice ball games. Two blue and two red ice balls represent the two camps.
The competition in the arena is fierce, and the old Beijing traditional ice and snow sports activity experience area set up outside the arena is splendid. Winter Olympics knowledge exhibition boards were also set up every week, which drove the audience to learn about the Winter Olympics knowledge and experience ice and snow activities in various aspects.
