CASTELLAMONTE. Sunday 19 September will be an important day for the Castellamonte Committee of the Italian Red Cross, led by President Paolo Garnerone.
At 10.30, in the headquarters in via Marcello Piccoli 9, a moment of thanks will be held for all those who spent their time in the CRI and for the Castellamontese CRI during the long months of the initial phase of the pandemic.
“A fair sign of recognition – say from the association of the city of ceramics – dedicated to the many volunteers and employees who have always guaranteed the continuation of the association’s activity, increasing in the hardest moments the quantity and type of services available: emergency , transfers, assistance to those in quarantine or isolation, support for the most vulnerable, telephone information and many others ”. A sincere and heartfelt “Thank you” will also be paid to the people and companies who wanted to support the Red Cross in the difficult days of the “hunt for Dpi”, personal protective equipment that has become essential overnight in a number that is enormously greater than past.
But the soldiers in red and white uniform never stop. On this occasion, new vehicles and equipment will also be inaugurated to keep the Committee always at the forefront and available to the needs of the citizen. In fact, the new Fiat Panda 4×4 car donated in memory of Pietro Pollino, the bariatric stretcher, unique in Canavese, named in memory of the volunteer Renata Delaurenti, as well as the new committee banner in memory of the volunteer Pier Luigi Presbitero Bracco will be officially presented.
