Shock of magnitude between 3.4 and 3.9 Wednesday at 16.20 recorded by seismographs and felt throughout the province and in the Belluno area
TREVISO. The earth is still shaking. At 16.20 on Wednesday 29 September the seismographs recorded an earthquake with a magnitude between 3.4 and 3.9. Immediate and numerous reports from alarmed citizens.
A continuous seismic swarm for 48 hours now that is touching the whole of Veneto. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the area between Valdobbiadene and Feltre. Here the event recorded on the website of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.
«They are tremors that must be carefully evaluated and are followed by experts as it is an area with high seismic activity – Zaia underlined after the first swarm – The magnitude was 3.5 so these are not irrelevant tremors. We are worried because they may be either aftershocks or are the prelude to a deep rift in the fault that can result in a more important seismic event ».
“It is a moment of maximum attention, it being understood that the earthquake cannot be stopped but we can only try to give an interpretation of what is happening, accompanying the population with information,” concluded the governor.
