“Black and white” face
Cooted chickens are birds of the Crane family. Its “black and white” facial features are interesting, just like the “Bao Gong” mask in Peking Opera. Although a type of “chicken,” the cooted chicken is a swimming bird with wide, separated webbed toes, and often swims in open water. Coots are good at swimming and diving, and spend most of the day swimming in the water.
