“2024 ‘Guangxi March 3 Bagui Carnival’ Kicks Off with Grand Opening Celebration”
The 2024 “Guangxi March 3 Bagui Carnival” cultural tourism brand event has officially commenced with a grand opening celebration in Qingxiu Mountain, Nanning. The theme of this year’s event is “Tide Rise on March 3 and Forge ahead on a New Journey,” aimed at building a strong sense of the Chinese nation’s community.
The festival was attended by prominent figures such as Liu Ning, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region, Lan Tianli, Chairman of the Autonomous Region, Sun Dawei, Chairman of the Political Consultative Conference of the Autonomous Region, and Niu Yibing, Deputy Director of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission. Together, they joined people of all ethnic groups in celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Guangxi.
The festivities kicked off with instrumental ensembles, original ecological folk songs, and traditional Yao clan ceremonies. Participants also took part in various activities showcasing Guangxi’s intangible cultural heritage, including music, food, brocade, and more.
