The opera singer Raina Kabaivanskaof Bulgarian origin, in Emilia-Romagna for some time and the architect Dante BiniEmilian by birth but who works in the United States: these are the two personalities to whom the Emilia-Romagna Region has decided to assign the Emilia-Romagna Culture Award.
The recognition, established by the Emilia-Romagna Region, in its first edition, was delivered today during a public ceremony by the president, Stefano Bonacciniand by the councilor for Culture and Landscape, Mauro Felicori. Among those present was the Consul General of Bulgaria in Milan, Ana Paskaleva.

For the singer Raina Kabaivanska the motivation for the award is linked to the extraordinary artistic merits of his career and his passionate commitment to the training of new talents; in the case of the architect Dante Binithe excellent results achieved in architectural research and the development of innovative construction techniques were recognized.

The Emilia-Romagna Culture Award will be awarded annually to a woman and a man who have particularly distinguished themselves in the cultural field, chosen from among living people who were born and/or resident, live or work in Emilia-Romagna, who have brought prestige to the region during their lives.

The prize awarded is a work of ‘Cielo’ line of two Faenza ceramistsselected by the director of the International Ceramics Museum, Claudia Casali, Ilaria Biffara and Giampaolo Santoddì of Pantoù ceramics, a brand founded in 2020 in Faenza, with a studio open to the public in the historic center. The recent flood severely affected the laboratory and their home, and since May 2023 they have been guests of Palazzo Muky Matteucci, a cultural reality managed by MIC Faenza.

On this occasion, the mayor of Castelfranco Emilia, Giovanni Gargano, he handed over to the architect Dante Bini il Award from the City of Castelfranco Emiliarepresented by the “Brass Signed”, the recognition given by the municipal administration to illustrious citizens who have distinguished themselves for the results achieved with their activities. The architect Mario Cucinella honored the architect Bini with an original dome-shaped hat.
