From Venice another 400 thousand euros have arrived at the Municipality to define the executive. On September 28, the services conference to give the green light to the changes
BELLUNO Once the services conference has been set, another 400 thousand euros arrive from the Region for the executive design of the new bridge over the Piave in Lambioi. The good news coming from Palazzo Rosso is twofold: the process that will lead to the replacement of the temporary bailey with a fixed infrastructure continues.
The Spanish designers of Fhecor ingenieros consultores sa and Estudio de arquitectura Campo Baeza slp delivered in mid-July the appropriate project according to the requirements of the Civil Engineers and the Basin Authority, which had highlighted, for example, the need to eliminate the entire embankment in left bank.
CHANGES
The part of the road planned for embankment will be replaced by a viaduct on two piers. The shares of the land pre-existing to the construction of the bailey on the left bank will also be maintained, in the part classified as a “riverbed” in the Pai, to ensure the expansion area of the flood, and the complementary works will be adequate. The bleachers connecting the beaches will also be redefined, always on the left bank of the Piave.
CONFERENCE OF SERVICES
The changes will be examined in the services conference scheduled for September 28: it was preferred to wait and exceed the holiday period because there are about fifteen entities involved, and in August not all of them could have been available.
If the outcome of the conference is positive, the final project, with preordained constraint for expropriation, will be brought to the city council for approval, together with the necessary urban planning variant. The variant must then be approved by the Province.
In the meantime, the team of Spanish professionals will work on the executive design. At Palazzo Rosso it is estimated that the tender can be done as early as next year, if the necessary resources arrive to build the bridge.
COSTS
The changes introduced to the project entail an increase in the costs of the work, which will go from the 5 million and 650 thousand euros initially planned to over seven million and 600 thousand euros. The work should be financed with post Vaia funds.
Meanwhile, a few days ago the Region communicated to Palazzo Rosso that it had allocated another 400 thousand euros, which will be used for the executive design. They are added to the 200,000 disbursed a few months ago and always linked to design.
Therefore, the fruitful relationship between the Municipality and the Region continues, leading to great strides towards the replacement of the bailey bridge with a modern and fixed infrastructure. If there are no setbacks, 2022 could be the year of the laying of the first stone of the new bridge.
