This price adjustment is made based on the Consumer Price Index. The rates of services provided to citizens change both in Colombia and abroad. The National Registry of Civil Status through Resolution 1413 of 2024, modifies the rates starting next March 1, by 9.28%.
It is worth clarifying that citizens who made the payment during January and February 2024, for duplicates, rectifications of citizenship card, identity card, the issuance of copies and civil registration certificates, may advance the respective process until 31 March 1, 2024. If they do not do so, they must go back to the bank or operator to cancel the difference on the rate that will apply from next March 1.
The same procedure applies to citizens who have made their payment until December 31, 2023 and do not go to a Registry office to carry out their procedure before next February 29.
The authorized banking entity is Banco Popular (account no. 220-012-11008-6 in the name of the Revolving Fund of the National Registry of Civil Status). Additionally, postal payment service operators are available (Efecty, Matrix y Servicios, Supergiros and 4/72). If the procedure is carried out abroad, citizens must pay the corresponding amount directly at the consulate.
