The annoyance is not only for tourists, but for all users who circulate daily along this road axis that connects Chimborazo and Bolívar,” said citizen Carlos Calderón; He and his family visited this attraction regarding the holiday. With great fanfare, in June 2022, the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), under ministerial agreement, declared the Calpi-San Juan-El Arenal road as part of the State Road Network; decision that would allow this State portfolio to allocate budget to carry out maintenance and resurfacing work on the road. However, to date the population and users who travel along this road axis are waiting for urgent intervention.
