Sudanese army forces arrived in the Shambat Bridge area and imposed a siege on the rebel terrorist Rapid Support militia forces inside the radio buildings.
A video widely circulated on social media platforms revealed that Sudanese army forces entered the Ahfad University building and crossed the Shambat Bridge area, which is a few meters away from the radio building.
A military source revealed that the armed forces fought a violent battle with the Rapid Support militia in the areas of Napata and Darduk, north of Bahri.
The source added that the armed forces inflicted on the militia heavy casualties, including 33 dead militia members and the destruction of a number of combat vehicles.
Meanwhile, a force in the southern confrontation of the Kadru forces ambushed the militia, killing more than 60 members of the rebel militia.
