America (Ummat News) America has seized the Boeing 747 cargo plane sold by Iran to the state airline of Venezuela.
According to the US Department of Justice, “the aircraft sold to Venezuela by Mahan Air, included in the list of sanctions by the United States, has been shipped from Argentina to the United States and will now be sold as scrap.”
According to Washington, the sale of aircraft by Iran’s Mahan Air to Venezuela in 2022 is a clear violation of the sanctions imposed on Tehran. America will continue to take such measures in view of threats to its security.
On the other hand, the Venezuelan government, describing the US action as shameful, has indicated that it will resort to the law to take back the plane.
In the statement issued by the office of President Nicolás Maduro, it has been said that the US and Argentina usurped the rights of our cargo company in defiance of commercial and civil laws.
On the other hand, Iran has also strongly condemned this incident, calling it against the law.
Iranian Foreign Affairs Spokesman Nasir Kanani said in his statement that the US’s detention of the plane is a violation of the UN laws.
