The Xiamen Bridge opened to traffic yesterday from the original two-way 4-lane to two-way six-lane

Southeast Net, December 20 (The Straits Herald reporter Zeng Yushan/Wen Chang Haijun/Picture) On the occasion of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 40th anniversary of the construction of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone, the reconstruction and reinforcement project of Xiamen Bridge built by Xiamen Road and Bridge Group yesterday morning Officially completed and opened to traffic. Since then, the Xiamen Bridge will change from the original two-way four-lane to two-way six-lane, and continue to assume the important task of entering and leaving Xiamen Island with a new attitude.

The reconstruction project has a route length of 3.58 kilometers and is currently the largest cross-sea highway bridge reconstruction and reinforcement project in China. The construction content includes the main bridge “four to six” reconstruction and reinforcement, approach bridge widening, bridge deck reconstruction, support replacement, pier column repair and Simultaneous maintenance of the existing diseases of the bridge to restore the durability of the structure and improve the bearing capacity of the bridge.

It is understood that in order to ensure the orderly progress of the project, since the start of the project, Xiamen Road and Bridge Group has organized the China Communications First Public Administration Group and the China Communications Public Regulatory Institute to insist on innovation and excellence, and complete the external prestressed steel of the super-long joint of the cross-sea main bridge. Beam reinforcement design, FRP formwork + RPC concrete durability design in the tidal range of the main bridge pier across the sea, strive to create a “5G smart construction site”. At the same time, the innovative application of BIM technology, round-the-clock, no dead angle monitoring and early warning, to achieve integrated management of safety, quality, and construction progress.

As the country’s first cross-sea bridge comprehensive reconstruction and reinforcement project and Xiamen’s first transportation EPC project, this project has no experience to learn from. Under the influence of two unfavorable conditions such as Xiamen’s two epidemics and high temperature and multiple typhoons in summer, Xiamen Road and Bridge Group organized all parties involved in the construction to overcome high-temperature confined space construction operations, lower piers and low-space navigation restricted construction operations, and super-long joint cross-sea bridges. Reconstruction and reinforcement, low-shrinkage UHPC pier reinforcement, and durability research of cross-sea bridges were finally completed two and a half months earlier than the planned construction period.

In addition, the project also adopts new equipment and new technologies such as edge-flange mobile cantilever trolleys, complete hoisting systems, complete externally prestressed traction equipment in the reconstruction of old bridges, and a new type of self-testing deep roof special hole-taking device, etc. It can be called the “Bridge Reconstruction and Reinforcement Museum”.
