The Comprehensive Road Management of the Secretariat of Physical Infrastructure of Antioquia is ready this weekend, Kings Bridge, to attend to emergencies and subregional maintenance with the aim of guaranteeing the passability of all its roads.

Below are some new developments presented on the departmental roads:

News on the Las Palmas dual carriageway, Las Palmas, Santa Elena variant and on the Aburrá Oriente – Oriente Tunnel Road Connection

-Via Santa Elena: enabled. It has Stop and Go control between km 7+575 and km 7+775, El Pingüino sector towards Santa Elena-Medellín due to road work. At km 11+200, Mirador sector, there is also Stop and Go control between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm every day (including weekends), with several closures throughout the day, lasting approximately 30 minutes. , for the transfer of material.

-Via Las Palmas variant: enabled. Restriction of cargo vehicles over four tons.

-Vía Conexión Vial Aburrá Oriente – Tunel de Oriente: enabled 24 hours a day, with traffic restrictions for cargo vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, teaching vehicles, motorcycles, animal-drawn vehicles and chivas. On holiday Monday, January 8, the Oriente Tunnel will have unidirectional traffic between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm returning in the direction of Rionegro – Medellín.

-Las Palmas Dual Carriageway: enabled with restriction to vehicles carrying more than four tons between km 6+600 (above the ‘Chuscalito’ restaurant) to km 16+600 (Alto de Las Palmas roundabout).

News in the Eastern subregion

The roads of Eastern Antioquia present normal traffic conditions.

At km 0+900 and 11+700 of the Highway – Granada, there is a controlled passage for construction activities at these two points.

-Cocorná – El Ramal – Granada: partial bank losses occur at km 1+200, km 2+700, km 3+800 and km 4+300. Travel with caution.

-El Retiro – Montebello: traffic is permanently restricted for vehicles with maximum loads of 10 tons on La Granja road (Montebello)

-Abejorral – Pantanillo – El Oro: traffic is restricted for vehicles with loads exceeding twelve (12) tons on the Abejorral – Pantanillo road.

-La Morelia (Route 56) – Abejorral: the total closure of the road at km 9+200 is authorized indefinitely for the demolition of an existing vehicular bridge that has structural failures, and the construction of a new vehicular bridge.

News in the Bajo Cauca subregion

On the roads in charge of the Government of Antioquia in this subregion there are normal traffic conditions. The following news continues:

-Cáceres – La Chilona: bank losses occur at km 32+000 and km 34+000. Travel with caution.

News in the Western subregion

The roads that lead to the municipalities of San Jerónimo, Sopetrán, Olaya and Liborina are enabled and have very good traffic conditions. There, work continues on road improvements and pavement interventions so that travelers can travel on a comfortable route.

-Miserenga (Cruce Route 62) – Ebéjico – Seville – Heliconia – Alto del Chuscal: at km 26+000 there is a partial loss of bench and road work at km 8+500. Additionally, the activation of the Traffic Management Plan – Partial Closure for the road is authorized, in the sector between La Miserenga (Cruce de Ruta 62) km 0+000 and Ebéjico (Quebrada La Sucia) km 3+127, according to Resolution No. 2023060347919 of the Departmental Road Safety Agency from October 26, 2023, at the following times: from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm from September 25, 2023 to March 25, 2024.

-Alto del Chuscal – San Antonio de Prado: geologically unstable area at km 7+900. Travel with caution.

-El Tonusco Bridge: total closure. Provisional passage over the Tonusco River is enabled for all types of vehicles with a permitted weight of 52 t (PBV) 24 hours a day. Paso Real Bridge: the following vehicles are allowed to pass 24 hours a day, one by one:

o Motorcycles, motorcycle taxis, light vehicles (car type).

o Van type vehicles with a maximum capacity of 8 passengers.

o Trucks of maximum 3.5 tons.

News in the Southwest subregion

The Troncal del Café presents normal conditions and due to the maintenance and improvement of this corridor, travel times have been reduced for users to the municipalities of this subregion with the greatest influx of tourists, such as: Jardín, Hispania, Andes, Jericó , among others.

-El Barroso – El Chaquiro – Salgar: there is a partial loss of bench at km 1+000. Caution when traveling.

-Támesis – Valparaíso: partial bank loss occurs at km 17+300 and km 18+400. Travel with caution.

-La Tolva – Piedra Verde – Go to Fredonia: loss of bench is evident at km 15+200. Travel with caution, passage restricted to one lane.

-Puente Iglesias (Route 25B) – La Ye – Jericó: total loss of banking in the La Viña sector km 4+900. If you are heading to the sector, take alternate routes.

News in the ways of influence of the Pajarito Toll and the Northern subregion

The road from Pajarito to Santa Rosa de Osos is in very good condition due to all the interventions to improve the road network and construction of retaining walls that have been carried out in this corridor.
