The fastest race in Latin America, classified as such due to its high speed averages, the Vuelta al Valle by bicycle, sponsored by the Government of Valle and Indervalle, begins this Monday, May 15 in Palmira, with the participation of 240 cyclists, 193 men and 47 women.
“La Vuelta al Valle is a historic event that year after year identifies cycling in our department and gives us the opportunity for hundreds of fans to learn a lot about the geography of the Invincible Valley which, thanks to events like this, strengthens economic and tourist activation. of the municipalities.” Said the governor, Clara Luz Roldán.
La Vuelta al Valle, is the oldest of the regional classics in Colombia, which was born in 1954, where great figures of national cycling have won, such as Rubén Darío Gómez, Martín Emilio “Cochise” Rodríguez, Luis H Días Rogelio Arango, Luis Herrera, Oscar Sevilla, John Fredy Garcia, among many others.
The director of the Vuelta, Hernando Zuluaga Aristizábal, was grateful for the support received from the governor of Valle Clara Luz Roldán and the manager of Indervalle Dayra Faisury Dorado, with the unconditional support they have given to the competition, which will have the Jarlinson Foundation Pantano as one of the leading local squads in the competition.

Departure and arrival Glorieta “la torre”, elevated bridge over the road to Yumbo, return in Matapalo, 159.5kms, Departure time: 8:00 a.m.
Wednesday May 17, third stage
Individual time trial, Pradera, Aguaclara, 200 meters before the cruise to La Buitrera and return to Pradera with departure and arrival in the main park. Departure time: 8:00 am.
Thursday May 18, fourth and last stage.
Circuit in “El Paraiso” farm, 69.6kms, with departure and arrival in the same place. Departure time: 8:30 a.m.
