Recalling that moment 9 years ago, Nie Wenwen’s heart surged——
On January 29, 2013, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission, braved the severe cold to come to the detachment to observe the emergency dispatch drill, inspect the troops’ equipment, and learn more about the training and living conditions of recruits. As a mobile unit, military training is the top priority. Whether detachment leaders or ordinary soldiers, as long as they walk on the training ground, they are full of energy.
Detachment leader Chen Panfeng once won the first-class merit and was named the third “Top Ten Loyal Guards of the Chinese Armed Police”. Chen Panfeng never regarded himself as a “hero”, and single-mindedly led officers and soldiers to practice command and study tactics.

This year, the detachment has installed a new batch of armored vehicles, but the officers and soldiers have not been able to find a breakthrough in the training of vehicle-mounted machine gun shooting. In order to find the crux of the problem and improve the efficiency and level of training, Chen Panfeng invited experts from outside and masters from inside, and discussed with experts, officers and soldiers around the clock for a week to improve countermeasures and research training methods, and finally achieved full excellence in the training of armored vehicle on-board machine guns.

In 2021, the detachment will participate in the first-level compliance assessment of the military training of the Armed Police Force. All officers and soldiers will be quenched again and again for more than 300 days, and charged again and again in more than 50 assessments.
During the training, squadron captain Xu Zhen accidentally injured his left leg, but he still insisted on demonstrating in person and stayed in the training ground for six consecutive months; during the assessment, squad leader Fu Wanzhen took 2 stitches to “close up” and went to the examination room, and he would never fall behind; Team member Yin Chunsheng fought in five places in ten days, fighting continuously with high intensity and winning five of five battles. Hard training is the foundation, and leading the training and innovating the training method is the direction. The detachment insists on benefiting from the training time. In recent years, the officers and soldiers of the detachment have formed 32 training teams to solve a large number of training problems. Corporal of the engineer squadron and excavator operator Liu Zhiqiang is one of the members of the research team.
Once, Liu Zhiqiang participated in a comprehensive earthquake rescue drill. Encountered the “deep ditch ahead” on the way in, unable to pass through, had to temporarily change the route, delaying the time. The space for activities here is very small, and the officers and soldiers are crowded into a space of less than 10 square meters with no windows.
