Members of the judicial police in the Casablanca security state, in coordination with the interests of the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, were able, this evening, Wednesday, March 13, to thwart an attempt to smuggle one ton and 420 kilograms of the drug Shera, and to arrest two people, one of whom has a criminal record, suspected of being linked to an active criminal network. In international smuggling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspects were arrested immediately after their arrival in a utility vehicle to the city of Casablanca, where the completed inspection resulted in the discovery of a rubber boat and a marine engine, in addition to 42 packages of the drug Shera, with a total weight of one ton and 420 kilograms.
The two suspects were placed under theoretical custody pending the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to identify the remaining possible extensions of this criminal activity, as well as to arrest the remaining participants and contributors to the commission of these criminal acts.
This security operation falls within the context of the intensive and continuous efforts made by the interests of the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance to combat international smuggling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
