It came to fruition today with the signing of a memorandum of understanding Between Gal Costa dei Trabocchi, Gal Maiella Verde e Maiella National Park – in the spaces ofAurum The Idea Factory a breaking latest news – a work path that led to join forces to create a multi-voice project on the route of the Gustav Line which provides for the creation of a network of cycle and pedestrian paths at the end of tourist enhancement and further development of the territory.
We live in the era of the Internet and for this reason we are all points of a Network, the best and today, also necessary, way to capitalize in the best possible way on every idea, every project, every economic resource available. From this perspective and The three bodies act in this direction protagonists of the signing of the memorandum of understanding, which have their range of action and interest in neighboring and overlapping territories. The agreement that the three organizations stipulate today establishes collaboration to best develop ongoing projects that “working together” can lead to interesting developments for the territory.
Il Maiella National Park is working on the creation of Way of the Gustav Wayand pedestrian path which integrates perfectly with two projects already carried out in the same area by the other two entities that are now jointly signing this agreement.
Il Gal Costa dei Trabocchi has already created over 300 kilometers of cycle paths on the hills overlooking the coast while the Gal Maiella Verde is accomplishing a network of cycle paths which covers part of the territory not yet reached by these infrastructures.
Due to this, i.e. the work that the three organizations are carrying out over a vast area with many points of contact, they have decided to adopt the Linea Gustavits history, its paths, as a common thread to create a tourist offer that includes all these routes. Starting from history and therefore from the sacrifice of many young people from all over the world who fought for the freedom that each of us enjoys today, they will develop positive actions transforming the negative narrative into a positive one.
Lucio Zazzara, president of the Maiella National Park: «The signing of this agreement consolidates the vocation of the Maiella National Park Of think about your promotional activity inserted into an integrated system across the entire regional territory. With the agreement, the first structural and coordinated tourist offer was born which unites the Maiella to the Adriatic coast also with a sustainable mobility system. The historical story of the Gustav Line thus becomes a modern key to understanding the naturalistic, historical-artistic and traditional values present between the eastern Maiella and the Costa dei Trabocchi”.
Tiziano Teti, president Gal Maiella Verde: «The agreement represents an important first step to promote a tourism revival, historical and landscape of the central part of the province of Chieti retracing a unique and important historical period in Italian history. In fact, based on the route of the Gustav Line, it connects the many small interventions that we are carrying out, together with local communities, to develop the path system, create the cycle tourism network, improve the quality of tourist information, the usability of the main points of interest and the reputation of food and wine attractors. Francesco Menna, president of the Province of Chieti: «The idea of connect through an itinerary that also enhances the history of the area between the splendid Trabocchi Coast and internal areas up to the Maiella National Park it is an ambitious goal which all the social, administrative and political forces of the territory must aim to give Abruzzo yet another opportunity to Sustainable Development. The signing of this protocol is an important first step that goes in the direction identified by the Province of Chieti which conceived, designed and implemented the Via Verde Costa dei Trabocchi precisely to enhance the wonders and culture of the territory crossed. The next 18 maggioon the occasion of the event Art Bike & Run + Winewhich will take place in Fossacesia marina (Ch), there will be the inauguration of approximately 200 kilometers of cycle tourism routes, a route that starting from British military cemetery in Turin di Sangro and from Canadian military cemetery in Ortona will cross the Sangro territories and will be completed with the construction of the first section of the Way of the Gustav Way.
On May 18, eighty years ago, the Gustav Line was conquered, allowing the advance of the allied troops and on this same occasion there will be the presentation of the overall project with the inauguration of the routes.
