On Wednesday, May 17th, the Maria Lankowitz volunteer fire brigade was alerted to a serious traffic accident in which two people were injured. Two cars had crashed into each other on the factory road at a curve near the Bachwirt inn. Both drivers sustained injuries of an unspecified degree. One of the men was transported to the hospital by the Red Cross Voitsberg-Köflach, the second will be examined by the family doctor.
Vehicles badly damaged
The reason for the collision is not known at this time. “The vehicles are badly damaged,” says Harald Sorger, commander of FF Maria Lankowitz. They were towed by a towing company. Before that, the fire department cordoned off the road, spread oil binding agent due to leaked operating fluids and cleared the cars from the roadway.
