Traffic problems caused by climate protests – Last generation blocks Tübingen city center

The Last Generation protested in downtown Tübingen on Saturday, April 20th, causing significant traffic problems at times.

The climate activists had called for a so-called “disobedient assembly”. With banners and music, an estimated 200 people blocked the city moat to the Lustnauer Gate from 12 p.m. This resulted in a backlog on the affected streets. Bus traffic had to be rerouted via the Schlossberg tunnel because the “Neckarbrücke” and “Nonnenhaus” stops could no longer be reached. The entrance and exit to the Nonnehaus parking garage was also blocked.
