“This – the Val d’Aosta parliamentarian accuses in a note – is a policy that does not look to the good of the Valle d’Aosta people, the territory and resources. This is an envious and suffering policy for the results that have been achieved by working between the various institutional levels ”. According to the pentastellata deputy “rather than being proud, as a community and as an institution, of the goal achieved” on electrification, “we invent how to throw more money”.
Speaking of electrification, the Hon. Tripodi claims “with satisfaction the work done together with the former councilor Chiara Minelli and the sub-secretary Giancarlo Cancelleri for the enormous result achieved, that is the 84 million euros foreseen in the PNRR, and the 26 million euros foreseen by the next update of the agreement RFi-MIT program: money that will allow the electrification of the Aosta-Ivrea section. Compared to the ruinous investment in “bimodal trains”, electrification will have advantages on the duration of the investment, on maintenance costs and on the pollution caused by the use of diesel engines in the section in question ».
That of hydrogen trains «is not yet a consolidated technology – he underlines – and needs a few years of testing. On the contrary, the electrification of the railway network is the main way to take advantage of all the technologies already tested and existing to reach the set goal: zero emissions and larger, faster trains and with the possibility of finally having long routes. travel without changes. This – concludes the deputy – is the real green turning point to bring tourists from all over Italy to our Region ».
