The Young Vikings will host the Vorwärts Steyr team in the regional league in the Upper Austria derby on Saturday, March 30th at 5 p.m. Julian Baumgartner, coach of the Young Vikings, expects a strong but not unbeatable opponent, even if the Steyrers are placed at the top of the league and come to the Innviertel as favorites. “If we can build on our performance from the first three spring games, then we have a real chance of getting points,” says the Mehrnbacher. According to Baumgartner, in order not to leave the field as a loser against Steyr, his young team has to bring a lot of energy and passion to the pitch. “We have to fight back from the first minute and try to force our game on them,” says Baumgartner.
The coach is satisfied with the development of his team in the last few weeks. “The boys are really into it and are very willing to learn. We are definitely on the right track,” reports the coach of the young Vikings.
