This is the sad end of Milù, a splendid white cat with a gray face, not even three years old. Together with the animal, found lifeless on Thursday, the carcasses of other cats killed in the same way were discovered. A fact that shocked the entire city.

Milù had disappeared on Sunday from the Ceneda area and had never returned home. The desperate owner had launched the appeal with a post on facebook in the hope of being able to find her again. After four days, the macabre discovery and the end of hopes. «My cat was found dead along with other cats», she tells the woman upset, «they were killed with a metal wire made from the brakes of a bicycle. In all probability it is a trap used to catch hares, which until recently ran near the cemetery of Ceneda ». And it is in an area behind the cemetery of Ceneda that the cat was found which, after having ended up in the trap, was thrown into a hole.

“I also found a pit of dead cats. There were at least three of them, but hidden underneath are others, already in a state of decomposition. Milù was the last to be thrown in there and was covered with a little earth so as not to attract attention. Another cat of mine returned with the thread attached to its paws, while Milù, who was my daughter’s cat, did not make it ». The episode caused the general outrage that immediately poured on social media with an avalanche of posts. All the voices stigmatize this act of cruelty.

The owner of Milù, from Sunday, had traveled the palm palm neighborhood to find it. Then her eye rested on that hole. There are no cameras in that area so the possibility of identifying the culprit is scarce. The clamor of the story can also induce this stranger to change areas, setting his traps elsewhere. “I’ll get to the bottom of this story, I’m not going to stop here,” promises the owner of the kitten. It is an episode of unprecedented cruelty ». In this case, in fact, the crimes of killing and mistreatment of animals could be configured. The woman intends to submit the case to the forest rangers and carabinieri, also presenting a complaint against unknown persons. «Milù was a very sweet cat, I was very fond of it», remembers the owner with the Magone, «she was saved from the street. Evidently she that day she went for a walk a little more distant and unfortunately she did not return. I want justice ».
