Water ski festival at the Salmsee in Steyregg

On July 14th and 15th, the Salmsee in Steyregg will once again be the meeting place for international water skiers. After two years in Fischlham, the event returns to Steyregg as the second stop of a four-station world tour.

The “Salmsee Cup” will demand everything from the participants in terms of diversity. The athletes have to prove their skills in three disciplines, namely slalom, trick and jumping. The evaluation is then based on the combination of the results in all three categories.

According to organizer Britta Grebe-Llewellyn, the field of participants is top-class. Her son Dorien, reigning world champion, world record holder and two-time winner of the Austrian events in previous years, will also be there again. “Austria is always my highlight of our World Tour and especially this year, where we are again at the great Salmsee in Steyregg,” says the 26-year-old water skier, who is hereditary through Mama Britta (ten European titles, two world titles and four world records). and Papa Jaret (nine-time world champion) is accordingly “biased” and is representing Canada. Among others, Alexander Gschiel will be at the start for Austria.
