[Epoch Times October 15, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Xia Yu comprehensive report) The White House announced on Friday (October 15) that from November 8th, it will lift entry restrictions for fully vaccinated foreign citizens, including land routes. Border and air travel.

Since March 2020, in response to the COVID-19 (Chinese Communist virus) pandemic, the U.S. government has imposed entry restrictions on non-essential travel by citizens of dozens of countries, including China.

“The new travel policy of the United States requiring vaccination of foreign tourists to the United States will take effect on November 8. This announcement and date apply to international air travel and land travel. The policy is guided by public health, and is strict and consistent.” White House Assistant News Spokesperson Kevin Munoz said on Twitter.

The new rules do not require foreign tourists or Americans to be quarantined after entering the country.

Americans traveling abroad still have to produce a recent COVID-19 negative certificate when returning home, and unvaccinated Americans will face stricter COVID-19 testing requirements. They will also be subject to epidemic prevention restrictions in the country/region they plan to visit, which may include quarantine.

The White House announced on Tuesday that it will lift restrictions on travel on the land border with Canada and Mexico in early November to allow fully vaccinated foreigners to enter the United States. Tourists who have not been vaccinated will still be prohibited from entering the United States from the Canadian or Mexican land borders.

Canada began to allow entry of fully vaccinated Americans on August 9.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told Reuters last week that international tourists will be allowed to enter the United States if they are vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the U.S. regulatory agency or the World Health Organization (WHO).

Issues including how the Biden administration exempts vaccine requirements have yet to be resolved.

The White House announced on September 20 that the United States would lift entry restrictions on air passengers from 33 countries/regions in early November, but did not disclose the exact date at the time.

From November 8, the United States will accept vaccinated travelers from 26 so-called Schengen countries in Europe, as well as the United Kingdom, Ireland, China, India, South Africa, Iran, and Brazil. Previously, the United States restricted the entry of foreigners who had been to these countries in the past 14 days.

Non-U.S. air passengers need to show proof of vaccination before boarding, and need to show proof of recent negative COVID-19 test. Foreign tourists entering the country via land borders do not need to show a recent negative test for COVID-19.

CDC will soon issue new rules on contact tracing of international air passengers.
