The 4th China International Consumer Goods Expo is set to take place in Hainan Province from April 13th to 18th, with a theme of “Sharing Open Opportunities and Creating a Better Life Together.” This event marks the first major international exhibition of 2024 and is a significant highlight of the Ministry of Commerce’s “Consumption Promotion Year” activities.

The Expo will feature a new island-wide exhibition model, a record-breaking scale, and an array of enriched and exciting activities. Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Sheng Qiuping, highlighted the innovative approach of this year’s Expo, which will utilize Hainan’s Free Trade Port ecosystem to implement a “1+N island-wide exhibitions” layout across various venues. This approach aims to showcase new consumption scenarios and reflect the vibrant lifestyle trends of the region.

With an expected indoor exhibition area of 128,000 square meters, the Expo will host over 3,000 brands from 59 countries and regions, including participation from 57 Fortune 500 companies. Moreover, the event anticipates attracting more than 55,000 buyers and professional visitors, leveraging the visa-free policy of 59 countries in the Hainan Free Trade Port.

In addition to the extensive exhibition, the Consumer Expo will feature a series of themed events and special activities aimed at promoting international trade cooperation and showcasing global consumer innovations. The Expo will also launch an “Online + Offline” year-round display and trading platform, leveraging the region’s tax incentives and customs clearance policies to facilitate post-event sales through cross-border e-commerce.

Overall, the 4th China International Consumer Goods Expo promises to be a dynamic platform for international economic and trade cooperation, setting the stage for a successful and engaging international consumption season.
