Meeting Point News On August 3, Yangzhou held the fifth special conference on epidemic prevention and control. At the meeting, it was announced: From 0-24 o’clock on August 2nd, Yangzhou added 40 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (including 19 mild cases and 21 ordinary cases), and 0 new cases of asymptomatic infections. From July 28 to the present, Yangzhou has reported a total of 94 local confirmed cases (including 31 mild cases, 61 ordinary cases, and 2 severe cases), and 2 cases of local asymptomatic infections.
Wang Jinsong, deputy director of the Yangzhou Municipal Health Commission, introduced at the meeting that currently, Yangzhou has 1 high-risk area and 29 medium-risk areas. Through the epidemiological investigation of the cases, 3,235 close contacts and close contacts have been identified, and they have been screened and managed in accordance with relevant regulations. As of 24:00 on August 2nd, a total of 1,498,400 samplings had been completed and 1,429,200 had been inspected, and the second round of large-scale nucleic acid testing tasks had been basically completed.
Currently, Yangzhou is carrying out in-depth and detailed investigations on current distribution. For the increased number of confirmed cases (asymptomatic infections), use the key information registration form of the cases to quickly complete the key information registration and preliminary investigation of the trajectory, and isolate the high-risk groups as soon as possible. For personnel involved in key urban areas and high-risk locations since July 21, the Sukang code has been strictly managed as the “yellow code” and “red code”. At the same time, the closure and control management measures have been upgraded, and since 0:00 on August 3, all communities (natural villages) in the main urban area except for the closed communities (natural villages) will be closed for management.
It is understood that currently, the Third Hospital of Yangzhou City is adding an intensive care unit to lay a solid foundation for the treatment of critically ill patients, while further optimizing the admission and treatment process to plug loopholes in the prevention and control of hospital infection.
