Yellow Rainstorm Warning Issued for 5 Provinces in China
The Central Meteorological Observatory in China has issued a yellow rainstorm warning for several provinces and regions, with heavy to extremely heavy rains expected. According to the China Weather Network, the warning states that heavy to heavy rains will occur in some areas of southern Hunan, central and southern Jiangxi, western and southern Fujian, northern and eastern Guangxi, and central and eastern Guangdong.
The most intense rainfall is predicted for parts of central and southern Guangdong, where local heavy rainstorms with rainfall amounts between 250-260 mm are anticipated. Additionally, some areas may experience short-term heavy rainfall, strong convective weather such as thunderstorms, strong winds, or hail.
To prepare for the incoming storms, the government and relevant departments are urged to carry out heavy rain prevention work, while the traffic management department should implement traffic control measures on heavy rainfall sections. It is also advised to cut off dangerous outdoor power supplies, suspend outdoor operations in open areas, and transfer residents of dangerous buildings to safe locations.
