This Friday morning in the Las Iglesias sector, on the road that connects Belén de los Andaquíes with San José del Fragua, in the south of Caquetá, Cristina Cerón Medina, a young doctor, lost her life in a traffic accident.

Cristina, a native of San José del Fragua, had recently returned to her homeland to complete her rural year. However, his life was cut short in this fateful incident.

The images captured by travelers show the moments after the accident, where several members of the ESE Rafael Tovar health corps were injured, and where unfortunately Cristina Cerón lost her life.

The accident occurred when The driver of the vehicle lost control and overturned, in circumstances that are being investigated by the competent authorities. The corresponding procedures will be carried out to clarify the causes and determine responsibilities.

Cristina’s body would be transferred to the Florence morgue for the respective rigorous work in these cases.

The medical community and the population in general mourn the loss of this young professional, whose commitment to the health and well-being of others leaves an irreparable void in the hearts of all who knew her.
