Continuing the aspirations of the first century, take on the mission of educating people. On September 9, Yunnan Province celebrated the 2021 Teacher’s Day event in Kunming. Provincial Party Secretary Ruan Chengfa, Provincial Governor Wang Yubo, Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary Li Xiaosan, and Provincial CPPCC Chairman Li Jiang attended the event and presented awards to outstanding teacher representatives, and extended festive greetings and lofty respect to teachers and educators across the province.
The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have always attached great importance to the construction of the teaching staff, and are very concerned about and caring for the majority of teachers. Starting in 2018, Yunnan Province has implemented an award program for outstanding rural teachers who have taught for more than 20 years, which has greatly stimulated the enthusiasm of teachers to take root in rural education. In the past year, the province has effectively solved the problem of the shortage of teachers that has plagued the development of basic education for a long time with unprecedented strength. The “local public servants” policy has improved the professional well-being and social honor of the majority of teachers. Stepping into the new era and standing at a new starting point, various work in deepening education reform in Yunnan Province is advancing steadily. The majority of teachers and educators keep in mind the sincere teachings of General Secretary Xi Jinping, keep in mind the original mission of educating people for the party and the country, and maintain their love. The determination of education and the persistence of indifferent fame and fortune, on the new journey of realizing the second centenary goal, strive to make new and greater contributions to accelerating the modernization of education in Yunnan.
