After the opening game on August 18 between Werder Bremen and defending champions FC Bayern Munich, the German Football League canceled all games in the first eight Bundesliga match days.

Borussia Dortmund hosts 1. FC Köln for the first top game of the new season on August 19 (6:30 p.m.). The Hesse derby between Eintracht Frankfurt and promoted Darmstadt 98 will take place on August 20 (5:30 p.m.).

The traditional duel between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern Munich will take place on September 2 (6:30 p.m.). A day later, the Champions League participants 1. FC Union Berlin and RB Leipzig (5.30 p.m.) measure their strength. The Rhenish derby between 1. FC Köln and Mönchengladbach has been scheduled for October 22 (3:30 p.m.).

All Bundesliga games are broadcast live. The encounters can be seen on the DAZN streaming service on Fridays and Sundays, and on Sky on Saturdays. The opening game between Werder and Bayern will also be shown live on free TV on Sat.1.
