Another great protagonist of the day was Edoardo Affini. The Mantuan of the Jumbo-Visma finished 80th, after 6 hours and 24 minutes of pure suffering at 22’50 from Colbrelli. Affini animated the race with the first maxi break of the day. He stayed with the best up to the Arenberg forest and then he put himself at the service of his companions. Curiosity: he was among the few to run in short sleeves. Stoic.
