The next championships from Excellence downwards will probably start in late September: the date of 26 is assumed. The first three Sundays of September (5, 12 and 19) should be used for the elimination phase of the Cup, avoiding playing on Wednesday evenings with artificial lights. The Regional Committee explained that the postponement of the start of the championships is due to the extension, until mid-July, for the submission of merger and name changes. An extension established by the national leaders, which delays the time for registration and the completion of the workforce by a couple of weeks compared to previous years.
Regarding the structure of the 2021/2022 regional championships, the novelty of the three groups of 14 teams in Excellence, instead of two of 18, seems to be confirmed: consequently at least 8 repechage from the Promotion will be needed, one of which is practically certain for Treviso. Groups of 14 teams also in the lower categories: rumors speak of 5 groups in Promotion (instead of 4) and 10 groups in First category (instead of 8). In the second, 16 groups could remain, in order to make the third survive. It seems that there will be groups of 14 teams also in the youth championships. As for the repechage criteria, the NLD has ratified that the merit rankings will be those of the 2019/2020 season interrupted after two / thirds by Covid, obviously leaving out the companies already rescued and those who had given up. This is because the FIGC has canceled the championships of the current season, characterized by too low a number of games played. It should be remembered that the Crv has approved the number of 14 teams in the groups in relation to the epidemiological situation, thus opting for a leaner championship. Meanwhile, a request was sent to the top for the possibility of “ranking” for the B teams of Third. –
