CAGLIARI. Barbara Dessì from Cagliari won the bronze medal at the World Bridge Championships, which took place in Salsomaggiore Terme from March 19 to April 9, an event organized by the World Bridge Federation which is held every two years.
Italy, although far from the unrepeatable glories of the legendary Blue Team, achieved an excellent team result: three of the four teams passed the initial barrage entering the final eight, and the Mixed team (mixed couples) of which Barbara Dessì belongs , who for the occasion played in tandem with her husband Leonardo Cima, reached the semifinals, hitting the prestigious third step of the podium.
