Coach Sacchetti has chosen the 12 who will play in the qualifying tournament for Tokyo: we start on the 30th against Senegal
ROME. National basketball coach Romeo Sacchetti has chosen the twelve players called up for the pre-Olympic tournament in Belgrade, which will offer a place for the Tokyo Games. Before making the roster official, Sacchetti had to make two ‘cuts, and decided to exclude Momo Diouf and Michele Ruzzier.
The Azzurri will open the tournament on Wednesday 30 June against Senegal, 24 hours later it will be Puerto Rico’s turn. The semifinal on Saturday 3 July and the final on Sunday 4 July. The Tokyo pass is up for grabs.
