Bebe Vio’s dream comes true: at “WEmbrace Sport” the Olympic and Paralympic champions compete together

by admin

It will be a unique charity sporting event against the barriers of prejudice, that of «WEmbrace Sport», announced this morning by testimonial Bebe Vio.

Welcomed yesterday with a standing ovation in the Strasbourg classroom, the champion today presents a new project together with “art4sport Onlus”, the association founded in 2009 by her parents, which promotes the knowledge and practice of Paralympic sport in Italy and deals with sport as a therapy for the physical and psychological recovery of children and young people with limb prostheses.

The show will see the champions of the Olympic Nationals compete against the champions of the Paralympic ones, to demonstrate to the public that not only integrated sport is possible, but it is able to maintain the same professionalism and the same levels of competition as the Olympic world.

Two mixed teams and four sports – fencing, football, volleyball and basketball – will put on a show at the Allianz Cloud in Milan on 25 October.⁣ An event that aims to raise awareness in the world on the issue of diversity as a single asset, a right to be protected.

Tickets can be purchased on the dedicated website. Access to the event is free for people with disabilities and paid for accompanying persons.
