Revenue Agency, goodbye Pin: from 1 October to access the services you need the Spid. Here’s what changes and for whom

by admin

Goodbye Pin: from 1 October, the Spid will be needed to access the online services of the Revenue Agency. In two weeks, the personal access credentials are no longer valid and it will be necessary to use the new digital identification system, or alternatively the electronic identity card (Cie) or the National Services Card (Cns). It is one of the first consequences of the Simplification decree: the last loyal to the Fisconline credentials still have 15 days to convert, even if for the moment nothing changes for companies and professionals (for which the Fisconline and Entratel credentials remain active).

The numbers of simplification

The transition had long been announced and the transition had already begun. In the first 8 months of the year, for tax services, the new credentials recorded over 44 million accesses to the tax drawer, or 32.5% compared to the same period of 2020, more than 1 million leases ( i.e. 90% of the total) were registered online, as well as 2 million public deeds were registered in this way, and over 400 thousand documents were sent through the Civis service. To these numbers must be added the 4 million accesses, registered in the same period, to the reserved area of the Revenue-Collection Agency.

What changes and for whom
Nothing changes, however, for the services available to users without the need for registration, such as the verification of the tax code, the verification of the VAT number and the booking of appointments. For the moment, the new authentication methods do not interest professionals and companies: the Fisconline, Entratel or Sister credentials, in fact, will continue to be issued to individuals with VAT numbers and legal entities (PNF) even after 1 October 2021. With a specific implementing decree, as required by the Digital Administration Code, the rules for these categories of users will then be established.

In the period January-September 2021, despite the suspension of collection activities due to the Covid emergency, almost 4 million taxpayers accessed the web services of the restricted area (approximately 60% of total accesses totals to the website). Of these, considering the particular period, about 70% used the “Check your situation” service to check the status of their folders.
