It did not manage to conquer the Pinerolo field, a formation built for the leap of the category, but playing on par with the Piedmontese at their home, the Talmassons Board of Directors proved to be on the right path. «We cannot be happy with a defeat – explains Mr. Leonardo Barbieri – because this is not part of our mentality. It is true, however, that we have grown a lot, especially in defense and this gives us satisfaction because it is the result of the intense work carried out in recent months. In Pinerolo we wanted to try to win: the details made the difference, small elements that we have to fix ».

The Lombard coach refers in particular to the management of the match. “Sometimes – he clarifies – the match changes and, especially when playing against high-level athletes, you need to be able to read the adjustments that the opponent makes during the game and know how to implement the right countermeasures”.

With the play-offs now in their pockets, President Cattelan’s team is still in the running for the first place in the standings which would guarantee direct access to the final promotion against the first of group A. The Board is still first to plus one over Pinerolo , who, however, has to play one more game. «The calendar – Barbieri admits – does not give us favorites but we must continue to move forward with the mentality that we have had up to now by playing to the fullest in all games. Let’s not forget that in the play-offs you have to arrive ready with your head and body without taking too many risks, perhaps with athletes who are not in top form ».

The Friulian team is now expected from the last five games: three at home, Sunday against Catania, Wednesday 16 February in recovery against Modica and Sunday 27 against Montecchio, and two away, on 19 in Milan against Club Italia and on 6 March, the last match of the first phase, on the field of Mondovì. –
