Certosa gives 1-3 to Brianza Est Bellusco and sees the last opportunity to enter the national showcase of Verona vanish

The opportunity without appeal was yesterday afternoon at the PalaGeorge in Montichiari where the finals for the assignment of the regional Under 18 women’s title were held. The two finalists, Chorus Volley Bergamo and Torneria Colombo Vero Volley Monza, were already admitted by right to the Scudetto finals, while the winner of the final for third place would be awarded a pass to compete in the qualifying phase at the same national finals.

Unfortunately, the team coached by coach Federico Di Toma also lost this opportunity by surrendering 1-3 (23-25, 25-9, 25-19, 25-22) to Volley Brianza Est Bellusco which will go to Verona to play in Verona l access to the Scudetto finals which, from 26 to 29 May, will take place right in the city of Verona.

Yesterday’s match had started in the best way, with the synergistic formation between Colombo Impianti Certosa and Pro Patria Milano to manage well the sprint at the end of the first set won by the advantages. Then, however, came the blackout in a partial second essentially with the headlights off and dominated by the Brianza sextet.

The performance of the third set was much more balanced, in which Certosa remained in the running for a long time, but was then made to break away in the decisive final part.

In the fourth period, for Di Toma’s team it was constant chase without ever being able to change the inertia and an error in the service concluded the challenge and delivered to Volley Brianza Est Bellusco both the third regional Under 18 place, and the pass for the qualifying round for the national finals. The biggest regret, however, goes back a week, when the Carthusian synergistic team threw away the 3-0 advantage of the first leg, allowing themselves to be eliminated in the return by Vero Volley Monza. –
