Chinese Men’s Table Tennis Team Wins 2024 ITTF Busan World Championship
On February 25th, the Chinese men’s table tennis team emerged victorious at the 2024 ITTF Busan World Table Tennis Team Championship held in South Korea. The team, consisting of players Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, Wang Chuqin, Lin Gaoyuan, and Liang Jingkun, defeated the French team with a score of 3-0 in the final.
Ma Long, a seasoned player in the team, showcased his skills and experience by successfully defending the title for his team. This marked his ninth World Table Tennis Championships team championship and his final appearance in the World Championships stage. With this win, the Chinese team secured their 11th consecutive World Table Tennis Championships and claimed the Swaythling Cup for the 23rd time.
In the final match, Ma Long, along with his teammates Wang Chuqin and Fan Zhendong, displayed outstanding performances against the French team. Wang Chuqin set the tone for the team by winning the first set, followed by Fan Zhendong securing a victory in the second set. Ma Long, known for his dominance in the sport, sealed the win for the Chinese team with a commanding performance in the final set.
After the game, Ma Long expressed his gratitude to his teammates and the team for their support, stating that this victory was a perfect ending to his World Championship journey.
