Rome, May 6, 2022 – It is coming down the weekly incidence of Covid-19 at national level: in the period 29 April-5 May it settles at 559 cases per 100,000 inhabitants against the 699 cases of the previous seven days. The report also shows that the percentage of cases detected through contact tracing remain stable or substantially stable (12% vs 12% last week), that of cases detected through the appearance of symptoms (42% vs 40%) , and that of cases diagnosed through screening activities (46% vs 47%).
Furthermore the rate of intensive care occupation of Covid patients drops to 3.7% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of May 5) compared to 3.8% recorded in the monitoring a week ago.
