Rome, 15 July 2022 – With i Covid contagion still stable above 100 thousand a day, a positive signal on the trend of the epidemic in Italia it comes from the Rt index which measures contagiousness and which has returned to decline, albeit slightly: in the last week, according to data from the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, it went from 1.40 to 1.34. Yesterday the Gimbe Foundation, in its usual monitoring, underlined how the curve of the new cases is braking, confirming that the peak is not far away: the new positives continue to rise but at a slower speed. We’ll see if the bulletin from today with the latest updates of the Ministry of Health will confirm the trend, with particular attention to the hospitalization trend. Particularly critical is the situation in Umbria where i hospitalizations Covid have exceeded 40% of available beds, in Calabria we are over 30%, in Valle d’Aosta at 29.4%. The race of Omicron BA.5: again the ISS estimates that the new variant is now prevalent in Italy at 75%. Below we publish the data arriving from the Regions.

Yesterday’s bulletin, July 14th
I’m 9.264 the new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours in Veneto. The regional Bulletin reports 13 victims, for a total of 14,911. The increase of the current positives continues, which are 107,751 (+905), while the clinical data decreases, with 917 hospitalizations in non-critical area (-6) and 36 (-8) in intensive therapy.
I’m 8.037 the new ones almost of Covid detected Puglia on 32,356 daily tests recorded, with an incidence of 24.8%. The victims there were 8. The most affected provinces are Bari (2,399 cases), followed by Lecce (1,771), Taranto (1,313) and Foggia (857). In Brindisi, 804 cases were detected and in Bat 725. There are 135 positives residing outside the region and 33 for which the province of origin has not yet been defined. Currently positive people are 93,017 of which 479 are hospitalized in non-critical area (yesterday 472) and 18 in intensive therapy (like yesterday ).
In Tuscany they are 4.925 the new ones almost from Covid, 240 less than in the weekly comparison (last Friday, July 8, they were 5,165). The tests carried out were on 21,670, of which 2,317 molecular swabs and 19,353 rapid antigenic. The rate of new positives is 22.73%, which rises to 81.7% on the first diagnoses. The Region registers nine new ones deaths for Covid: six men and three women with an average age of 79.9 years. According to the bulletin released by the institution, the currently positive people are 89,999, or 2.2% more than yesterday. THE hospitalized are 759 (+21), of which 29 in intensive therapy (stable).
People tested positive for the coronavirus in Calabria +3.057 compared to yesterday. The positivity index is 31.91%. Six are the people deceased in the last 24 hours due to Covid, eight new ones hospitalizations.
I’m 2984 the new positive cases al Covid register today in Abruzzo. The balance of patients deceased records 5 new cases. The currently positives are 43612 (-10847 compared to yesterday). Of these, 268 patients (+9 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the hospital in the medical area; 5 (+1 compared to yesterday) in intensive therapywhile the rest are in home isolation.
In Sardinia I am 2.796 the new ones almost confirmed positive at Covid, of which 2,579 diagnosed with antigen test. A total of 8,924 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic, according to the latest update of the Region, which also reports four other deaths. Two women aged 91 and 99 died in the Nuorese area and two men aged 78 and 84 in the province of South Sardinia and Sassari. The patients hospitalized in the intensive care wards there are 8, one less than yesterday, while those in the medical area are 170, fifteen more. There are 40,330 people in home isolation, 967 more than yesterday.
Less than 2 thousand return, 1.851the new ones almost Covid in Umbria on the last day when more swabs and antigen tests were performed, 6,347 versus 6,269 on Thursday. With the positivity rate at 29.16 percent, it was 31.99 24 hours ago 32 percent on the same day last week. The healed were 1,404 and there is a new one died. Regarding the hospitalized in hospitals there are 287 patients, seven more, while the number of places occupied in the hospital has dropped to eight from 11 resuscitations.
In South Tyrol another death of a covid patient, it is an 80-year-old man. The new cases are 805 (17 pcr and 788 antigen tests). The number of hospitalizations for the moment has not been updated.
